The Renaissance Festival happens ever fall for six weeks first of September to mid October. Major activities are live stage performers working for donations and polishing their acts. A myriad of booths abound where one can purchase almost anything to eat that will fit in the hand, Turkey legs are a great favorite. I'm partial to the Apple Dumplings topped with local creamery ice cream.
The festival has taken place every year for twenty five years at this writing and should continue for many more. As an old production sitting on a very large piece of land, it's buildings are now mostly wooden with a few tents left. Food dispensing places however are wooden and behind the facade meet state health department rules. The crowd of people attending the festivals, which are held every weekend are as interesting as the performers. The patrons are just as apt to create a marching drum group as are the regular performers. It is hard to tell when someone is not on stage, if they are a part of the production or a part of the costumed patrons. I hope you get a kick out of these images.
